About me

Hello! My name is Soline. I first discovered pottery in college: I took a few classes at Indiana University and quickly fell in love with throwing on the wheel. Then life — and kids — happened, and I had to set my hobby aside for a while.

Now, after a 20-year hiatus, I’m diving back into clay and thrilled to find that I can still make pots — and so much more. Some days, my ambitions run wild: I dream of creating lamp shades, cake stands, and large fruit bowls. That’s the beauty of ceramics — the possibilities are endless.

Think about it: what other material allows you to create pieces for your kitchen, bathroom, garden, even things to wear like jewelry — not to mention purely sculptural works?

But be warned: if you decide to give ceramics a try, you might get completely hooked like I did!
